Dragana Vulović is a Research Associate who has worked at the Institute of Archaeology in Belgrade, Serbia, since 2018. She defended her PhD thesis at the Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade in 2020. She has participated in numerous archaeological investigations in Serbia and Montenegro. She has been researching human osteological material from Antiquity, Late Antiquity, and the Middle Ages in Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is interested in the influence of different life conditions on the health status of ancient populations, whether there was any difference in the life quality in urban and rural settlements, and what the life of medieval mining populations was like. Her research focuses on the health status and paleopathological profile of ancient populations, with the main focus on children's skeletal remains and how different living conditions affect their health status and mortality. She has been president of the Bioarchaeology section of the Serbian Archaeological Society since 2021.
